Pair French Louis XV Period Armoires

A pair of 18th century French Louis XV armoires from Lyon. Rich Walnut construction with touches of burl accents, features a molded crown and hand-carved frieze with central carvings depicting a floral basket and lovebirds, flanked by a motif of floral vines. Two elaborately paneled doors are framed by carved fluted details and beaded trim, with hand-wrought Iron cathedral hinges and elegant pierced escutcheons. Doors open to reveal a shelved interior with two long and one short drawer, on short cabriole legs with carved scrolling aprons. 70 x 25 x 100” high overall.
