A 19th century French Liqueur barrel rack, converted for use as a bar or server. Mixed wood construction features a scalloped rack with chamfered legs, mortise and tenon, pegged construction which holds five original liqueur barrels with enameled labels indicating their original contents including Absinthe (a favorite of Hemingway, Baudelaire and Van Gogh), Rhum, Marc, Malaga and Kirsch. The coopered barrels held approximately 10 gallons of each liqueur and have Oak staves with iron hoops. Refinished with original ebonized detail, with added top of old wood. 86 ½ x 23 x 43 ½” high overall.
